and individual capital stocks, loss of life; Indirect Impacts; loss of investment, loss of livelihood,

loss of productivity due to death, increase in operational cost, cost of alternative provision of goods

and services; Principles and approaches in disaster economics; approaches to asset formations,

social structure and disaster loss; Externalities of disaster; opportunity cost of disaster and its

sustainability. India's disaster experience; India's disaster financing framework and policy, methods

of need assessment and its limitations; Financing Risk reduction investment ;institutional and economic security, entitlement to resources, coping with environment and capital change, development of appropriate ex-ante risk funding instruments, approaches to rehabilitation
