The course on HR for health services is aimed at helping students understand HR management and how to develop a fair, and effective HR system which contribute to effective performance and development of and organisation. Indian health services need to be imagined as an organisation which in itself is a complex adaptive system with those functions of management applicable to a certain extent within the health system context. This becomes all the more relevant considering the fact that health services being a human resource intensive sector as the success or failure of the system depends on its widespread health workforce. This course will introduce students to all the facets of HR management which has an impact on personnel administration, people performance and development, and employee relations to ensure organizational growth and performance outcomes .
